Emily's Field Trip to Cabellas and Thanksgiving Point

Emily had a great field trip with the whole second grade.  We went to Cabellas and they had a employee explain how they stuff the animals and also described a lot of neat facts about the different animals they had around the store.  They each got to shoot at the shooting gallery as well.  Then we went over to Thanksgiving Point.  Crazy Connie gave us a ride on the wagon being pulled by a tractor.  We walked around and learned about all the different farm animals and we also got to make homemade ice cream.  Emily's cousin Kaylee had a Flat Stanley project from school that she sent her.  We were supposed to take him with us where we went and then write a letter and send him back to her class.  I had him pose for a bunch of different pictures so we could make a little photo album to send back to Kaylee's class.

This is Emily's best friend Shannon

They are such cute friends

Flat Stanley enjoyed the bus ride

Ty Watching His Dad

Ty loves to watch his dad play the computer games. Looks like sleep won out during this session. I thought that was so cute. I snapped a picture then carried him off to bed.

Ty Helped Me Stain The Stalls

Ty is SOOO awesome! He worked with me for 5 hours non stop staining the stalls.  I had NO idea that it wasnt a good idea for us to get the stain all over our skin so we just worked away.  It was a terrible mess to get off.  He had to take an oil bath and we almost scrubbed his skin raw. He had Karate pictures this weekend so we couldnt just let it wear off!

Brett Hanson Gets Hitched!

We always joked as a Coleman Family that Jenny would marry Brett!
It was not meant to be.......
The kids and I went to his reception and it was just beautiful.  It was held in the club house for the golf course that is up by the Draper Temple.
Funny coincedence was that Rich Legg from my communications class when I was going to SLCC was their wedding photographer.  It was fun to catch up with him.

The kids were sooooo good waiting in the long line to see the new Bride and Groom.  They were in such a sill happy mood.  We had a lot of fun snapping some silly pictures out in the parking lot after we had left the reception.

Ty loves his binoculars.  He brings them every where we go!  He even looks out the car window with them while we are driving.  Something that would make me absolutely sick to my stomach.

I think this is a perfect blackmail photo dont you????

Who me?

Posted by PicasaWhen we were driving home we found this totally awesome metal dragon mailbox.  It is too bad that it was so dark so we were not able to get a good picture of it.
This was such a fun night with just me and the kids.
I love times like that!

Sweets Candy Factory Field Trip

Ty's field trip at preschool with Teacher Terriwas so awesome. I kept Emily home from school so that she could come with us.  This was something new for me and I wanted both of the kids to experience it!
We went to the Sweet's Candy Factory in Salt Lake. Weston Nielsen was in my little group to watch through the field trip. I am posting this after the fact and one of my very favorite things that came from this field trip was that every time I saw Weston after this he would shout "HEY! I KNOW YOU!" It was the cutest thing ever!!! I was just talking to his mom Lisa the other night about how I miss him saying that to me. She said ya...he doesnt have to say that anymore because he does know you. He is a really cute little boy and we have fun riding with him at 4-H.
Emily had just gotten her ears pierced and they were very painful....one of the rules about going through the candy factory is NO JEWELRY. There is no way on this green earth I was going to be able to take those ear rings out of her ears without her having a complete meltdown. It took some serious convincing for the lady to let her come in and not removing them. I promised that I would keep her hair net over her hears the entire time.

I love this picture because Emily is ALWAYS so lovey....Ty is trying to smile for the picture but doesn't want Emily hanging on him!!!
The next picture is a push away...the next picture is Emily standing away from them.
The factory was great. We got to sample all kinds of candy. I loved the warm cinnamon bears and the taffy especially!

Here is Weston showing off how well he can cross his eyes.

Candy Pleeeeeeaaaaaseeeeeeeeee!

Easter 2009

We started the day out with the Herriman Easter Egg Hunt...I only have pictures of Ty because I had the camera and Kenny had the video camera with Emily at her age group station.  It always surprises me how quickly the lawn is cleared out!  I swear it only takes 1 minute!!!  Ty is a great egg hunter.  He is really good and the grab and go.  Emily is more choosey and usually only ends up with a few things in her basket.  Which isnt a bad thing since we have an Easter Egg hunt at both of our parents houses every year :)

Sweet Che'  Our family got her when I was on my mission in
Wisconsin in 1995!  She was such a cute chubby puppy
and by the time I got home she was a full grown dog

I love Ty's Bed head!

Sweet Grandma Kalawaia
She is one of my most favorite memories from Easter Time.
She would always sing "My Easter Bonnet"
And was so excited to bring items for the hunt

Brothers and sisters standing around shooting the breeze

THE EASTER BUNNY DID COME!!!

Love that face!

Look at Emily's cute smile!  She is missing so many teeth
I think she looks so sweet and adorable
