Have I Told You I Love JetBlue?!?!?

We were able to go to California to meet up with Greg and Kim on their family vacation to Disneyland!!! The flight loads were perfect for standby travel both ways and we had an amazing time. It was so nice to get out of the snow and cold and be warm for once. I was so totally thrilled when we got on the plane to fly to Long Beach, the pilot asked my kids if they would like to come in and see the cockpit! WOWOW! They didnt even know I worked for JetBlue at the time and let Em and Ty sit in their seats and even posed for pictures. I was just overjoyed! That is something they will never forget.

Spencer pointed at button after button asking what each one did. Then they were both given a set of JetBlue wings :)

Dog "Jackets"

Last October I bought a little horse blanket for our tiny shetland Fanny down at my dads house. Spencer was talking to my dad and asked him why the other horses dont get jackets and why the dogs dont get a winter jackets. We thought that was pretty funny. Well at my dads idea I found these dog "jackets" and Spencer was so excited to see them with a winter coat!

Just Hanging Out

Just a couple of random pictures.... we were just watching tv and I said Hey... SMILE! I think they look like big kids!

Second try at a hay shelter!

So remember I made a hay shelter out of PVC pipe... well in any other place it would have been fine but we live in the 5th circle of you know where and the wind and storms here are sooooo terrible! It survived through the first three storms in a row but the 4th one.... it was just destroyed. So my handy man husband said that he would build me a little shed to cover the hay. We started it on Saturday and the weather was cold but clear and great! We had that monster of a snow storm through the night... we thought it wasnt supposed to come until Sunday night... well I woke up to white out conditions and thought oh crap! But for some odd reason there was no snow at all behind our fence right where we were building the shed so we were able to put on our snow pants for the cold and finish it on Sunday. (Mostly Kenny but I did my share) I think it is just beautiful and it is working so great! My dad was surprised and said that Kenny is a good builder. That made me happy! My dad brought me up another bale of hay and we just backed the trailer right under it. It is just perfect!

I know... Another Storm but this was INSANE!

This is the snow that filled up our basement entrance! !
Emily had just climbed up the hill to sled down again and was exhausted! She plopped down in the snow and I didnt think she was going to be able to get up again! lol! Spencer cruised down the hill and almost made it to the fence.

Oh mY hEcK!!!!!! So Sunday February 3rd I got up to get ready for church. It was our stake conference and I really wanted to go and had gone to the temple the week before as asked by our bishop. Well we had a huge storm expeceted to hit on Sunday night and since my pvc pipe hay shelter was busted we went and got lumber on Sat and started to build our new hay shelter thinking we would have time before the storm to finish it up.When I got up in the morning the storm didnt wait and Oh MAN did we ever get some snow! I got up and decided that I would shovel the driveway so that I could get to church. (it ended up being cancelled)It was a LOOSING battle! I was out for over an hour and didnt even make a dent. We seriously had 3 to 4 feet of snow in our driveway! It was blowing sideways and and a complete white out. The snow plows hadnt even been out yet. I finally gave up and decided that I better just go into the house. When I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror I had quite a fright! The weather had its way with me and this was the result! Frozen wind blown scary lady! We had 5 and 6 foot snow drifts in our back yard! The kids had a sledding hill it was such a fun day once the weather broke it was actually a beautiful day. At one point Emily got stuck in the snow and Spencer had to go after Kenny to pull her out. I haven't seen snow like this since I was a little girl!
