Where is SpRiNg?!?!?!

We have had storm after storm out here and the wind is wreaking havoc! This morning I got back from taking Emily to school and my cute neighbor was out trying to get her recycling can back on the side of her house. There are houses just up the street under construction and a 50 foot long piece of plastic was blowing down the street. It got caught on her mailbox and then wipped around shrinkwrapping her SUV. I ran up there to help and with great effort we got it off! But that sent it down to my house. It got stuck on our fence and was going into her horse corral. We were scared it was going to injure the horses. So we managed to get it off our fences and pulled it into my garage... now what to do with it lol! What a yucky, wintery day!

Cant wait until I have a BARN!!!

Ginger

Caught him in a yawn :)

My dads cat Ginger got hurt...I do mean my dads cat. He just showed up at my parents house and has stuck around. He follows my dad around the yard while he is doing the chores and my dad sure gets a kick out of him. He must have gotten in a fight and wouldnt walk on his back leg. I took him to the vet and turns out he had a bad abcess on his back leg that needed to be lanced and since he was in we had him neutered...poor guy. He is currently recovering in my half bath in the kitchen. He is a very social cat and is not happy being couped up. I brought him out and he freaked out at my other cats and I thought that I was going to be eaten so back to the bathroom he goes just until he gets better. Personally I think he is missing my dad.

Miss Vampire Kitty Face

We had a really busy day and came home exhausted! All of us decided to take a nap. Emily was on the couch and Spencer was in his bed. When I went to check on the kids Emily was sleeping like vampire with a cat on her face. It made me laugh.

Nap time

It was a special day

From Left to Right:
Ade, Brett, Colby and John Meline
Myah is loved too much by the kids if you know what I mean
Life has been a little hectic here at the Coleman house. I thought Cowgirl was going to die a few weeks ago so that made for a pretty rough week. She is down at my dads in a nice clean stall and doing MUCH better so that is a relief. My dad brought Coco and Hank back up last week. I cant believe how naked my yard feels without a few horses out there.

We had a terrible storm that blew out a portion of our fence and ripped the gate right off its hinge. Pretty wild!

Em and Spencer and in swimming lessons on Saturdays and are having a great time. Emily is a mermaid at heart so I am excited that she is learning how to channel her inner-mermaid hee hee.

Colby was also baptized and Jolie was blessed in the second week of January. We had the best weekend up in Idaho! It was like a mini family reunion with pizza and bowling and swimming!

Em Taught Spencer how to make a snowflake!

January 2008

I thought this was so cute! Spencer saw what Em was doing and told her that he wanted to make one too. So she folded his paper and cut the the excess off and then taught him how to cut the edges. Spencer's ended up being a hat instead of a snowflake but I thought it was cute they were doing that all by themselves

I love Spencer's red punch mustache!

Our New TV

Love lOVE love LOVE our new TV! It is a different look for our living room since we had the other entertainment center for 10 years! I like the change.

Festival of the trees

Having fun at the Festival of the Trees. We saw so many beautiful trees and had fun stopping by to see Santa. Spencer told me after that he told Santa that he has been notty. Then he told me that Santa still gave him a candy cane so even if he is bad Santa will still bring him presents. And I know what you are thinking... no.... that is a pink giraffe balloon hat on Spencers head!!! hee hee!

Drifting along with the tumbelin' TUMBLEWEEDS

This is truly the Biggest TUMBLEWEED I have ever seen!!! I wish I wouldnt have been by myself so that I could have gotten a picture with me standing by it. When my dad and I drove back by where it was it was gone. It is as tall as a car! And who says everything is bigger in Texas!

Spencer

Spencer has been trying really hard to learn how to write his name! He has the "S" down and writes it to claim is territory on different things! Since his middle name is Ty and much shorter I asked him if he would like to learn that instead and he said no... alrighty then :)

Christmas week...

Christmas sure went by fast! I was supposed to work at total of 8 hours but was lucky and only ended up working about 2! What a deal! Kenny surprised me with a beautiful canvas picture of red poppys for my front living room wall. He even hung it in the right place! We openend presents then went to my parents then back home for me to work then went to Kenny's parents. It was a long happy day. The following day we went and saw the water horse at the movies. And Thursday we went to an aquarium and got to touch some sting rays. I have also started testing of a new way to get the kids to get along! When ever they start fighting with each other they have to sit together and hold hands. You can not believe how difficult that is for them but as soon as they sit quietly and stop sqeezing the death out of each others hands they can get up and play again. We have done it in the car and at home and it seems to be working. And I get a laugh out of watching them try and work it out!

Where did 2007 go???

We are almost out of 2007! I can hardly believe it! The kids have toys scattered throughout the entire house and the recycling bin is FULL of wrapping paper and boxes from the toys. We have had a really fun year! Hope that you have as many happy thoughts as you think back too! xoxo Hil

Ever see your grandma do this???

January 1, 2008

So we have been in our house for well over a year! We have had trouble with the dryer vent condensating downstairs and making a drippy mess! Kenny finally went down to investigage and turns out the dingbats never vented our dryer to the outside!!! The pipe goes right to the outside wall and stops! WHOA! So in the meantime of having Ivory come out and fix it I have resorted to venting into a pair of my old panyhose! ahhahaha! I cant believe how fast my lovely dryer works now! And now I know my old one was ok... it just had trouble because there was no where for the air to go doh!

I love a Handy Man!

Kenny whipped out our storage room shelving while he was on Christmas vacation! We bought the lumber on New Years Eve and we (but mostly he) put them up on New Years Day! Hip Hip Hooray!!!

This picture was my Christmas Surprise!!!
I told him I wanted a picture of poppies for the living room and how expensive they were at Ti Pan. He found this picture and had our friend Jeremy print it and mount it. He even hung it on the wall in the exact place I wanted it! What an awesome gift! Thanks babe!

Here is our tree for the 2007 Christmas Holiday Season :)
