Kenny's company sure does know how to throw a good party! The food was excellent. They had the most amazing face painters there. It wasnt just run of the mill...any old fair or clown party face painting. Each one was a real work of art. I had such a nice time catching up with Mary Jane and a few other wives that I dont get to talk to that often. Everyone went home happy from this party :)

Disneyland at Halloween Time
September 26, 2008
I LOVE going to Disneyland during Halloween! It is so festive and fun! It is one of my mom's favorite holidays so that makes it even more fun. It was just mom and me and the kids. Days like this remind me why I lOVE working at JetBlue SOOOO much!
We spent a lot of time over at California adventure this time. We are such Disney die hards that we have had a hard time going to over there. But I love the Soaring over California and the Bugs Life area. It was decorated soooo cute!
Both of the kids were totally exhausted! I was so glad I brought a stroller because there is no way I could have carried Em after she passed out from exhaustion!
What a spectacular day!

Picking Choke Cherries
September 23, 2008
After that last ride with my dad up Yellowfork I took the kids back up to pick choke cherries. When we were coming down the mountain he told me of the 100's of hours that his mom spent in her lifetime picking and making choke cherry jam. He said that it was his favorite jam of all time and loved to put it on pancakes. That story really touched me... esp because my dad isnt know for liking pancakes much.
We had SOOO much fun hunting for the berries. So excited to see a bunch of wild turkeys on the way up!
I packed us a picnic lunch and we found a great thicket to sit in and eat our lunch per the kids request.
It was a great day!

Ride with my Dad in Yellowfork
September 22, 2008
This was one of my all time favorite rides! I saw 100's of chubby, furry squirrels. Lots of deer and cattle, the weather was beyond perfect and the fall colors spectacular!
I took a picture of my dad by that little cabin. I wish that he had a little place like that where he could get away from everything.
We rode to the very top of the mountains where you can see the Salt Lake Valley one way, the Tooele Valley one way and the Cedar Valley the other way! Just incredible!!!
Time spent on a horse with my dad is priceless! It is the place that I am the most comfortable and happy with him.
It is a love that I got from him without question.

Trip to the Hoogle Zoo on Spencer's Birthday
September 17, 2008
It's Spencer's Birthday! My big boy is 5 years old! He is such a funny kid! He still makes all kinds of faces and is SOOOOO busy! I can hardly keep up with him!!!
We had a fun time at the zoo, spent lots of time looking at the elephants per Emily's request. We also got to ride the new carosel for the first time. It was beautiful! The last time I rode a carosel like that was when I went to the zoo in South Carolina with Kathi and the kids when I went out to visit her.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCER!!!

Horseback Ride in the Unitah's
September 14, 2008
Holy Cow! What a ride! We outdid ourselves from the last ride. We were gone for about 13 hours and covered MANY miles of mountain country. We had a campout the night before. Kenny drove up in the car with the kids and we all slept in the horse trailer.Christy and Shane came and slept in their trailer. We got up in the morning and had a great breakfast. Then Kenny took the kids home and the four of us when on the ride.

Hike Behind the Draper Temple
September 11, 2008
Today is one of those days that always brings a little sadness. I remember exactly where I was when I saw the news at almost 7am that the plane had hit the first tower in NY. I was on the couch with my almost 1 month old daughter Emily, she had been fussy all night and I ended up on the couch with her watching TV to pass the time. Now 7 years later it still comes back like it was yesterday. I decided we needed to get outside and breath some fresh air.
They are still working on the Draper Temple so we went up to check out the progress. I found a hiking trail just to the south of the temple so we went for a hike. It was perfect weather and so much fun! Nice way to spend a few hours on a day in history that changed out world
